Brittany Rawlings graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with an undergraduate degree in Business and Entrepreneurialship. In her second year of law school, Rawlings began her accessories line as a creative outlet from her daily grind as a law student and, serendipitously, found her niche in Fashion Law. In 2009, fashion law was hardly a “googleable” search term, as such, Rawlings quickly learned how to create corporate, commercial, entertainment, employment, and proprietary documents for her accessories line, B.RAWLINGS. Within a year’s time, Rawlings not only had a fashion law database, but she had also founded and, single-handedly, grew successfully B.RAWLINGS while graduating cum laude from Nova Southeastern Law School in 2010.
Rawlings was honored as Gen Art’s Fresh Face in Fashion Accessory Designer in 2010 and has since been acclaimed by international Vogue publications, Allure Magazine and People Magazine, is carried in select Bloomingdales stores and specialty boutiques internationally, has held Trunk Shows at Henri Bendels New York, has jeweled Trina Turk’s Swimwear Fashion Show and celebrities Lindsay Lohan, Tyra Banks, and Giuliana Rancic of E! TV. Rawlings’ practice as a corporate litigation, entertainment and fashion lawyer has only intensified Rawlings research and work within the area of fashion law and the business of fashion.
In 2012, fashion, business and technology collided when Rawlings started a web platform that will serve as the fashion industry’s online tool and resource. Rawlings has now broadened her practice to internet law, with a focus in fashion, digital media, and intellectual property.
As a result, Rawlings has been featured in Ocean Drive Magazine, honored as a “Rising Star” from the Broward County Women Lawyer’s Association, honored as Miami’s Power 30 Under 30, as Business Leader Magazine’s Top 50 Entrepreneurs of South Florida and Women Extraordinaire in 2011. Ms. Rawlings is a member of Volunteer Lawyer for the Arts, Miami-Dade Young Lawyers, Florida Association of Women Lawyers, is a speaker panelist for various Fashion Law events, and sits on the Executive Committee for the Florida Bar Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section.
